Studio Pottery Trinket Bowl — Japanese symbols on the bottom
Description
Small stoneware trinket bowl, wheel-thrown and glazed.
Approximate dimensions: 3.5 in diameter × 1.25 in high (measured at rim).
Exterior glaze: muted celadon-green with light crazing; interior shows brushwork in a darker green.
Footring left unglazed, shows natural clay color (warm buff).
On the center of the unglazed base are three Japanese characters stamped or incised and filled with dark pigment.
Condition
Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks visible. Fine surface crazing consistent with age and typical of celadon glazes. Light wear to footring from use.
