Condition and description
Handcrafted studio pottery trinket bowl, approximately 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter and 1.5 inches (4 cm) high. Slight irregularities in shape and glaze indicate wheel-thrown or hand-shaped studio work.
Glaze: soft matte celadon-green with subtle pooling and fine crackle in places. Rim shows light wear consistent with age and gentle use.
No chips or hairline cracks visible on the rim or body; base shows expected unglazed footring with kiln residue.
Marking
The bottom bears Japanese characters hand-incised into the clay before firing. The mark appears to be a two- or three-character signature, applied with a steady hand.
